Teen Driver Education Programs

Choose from two package options:

  • FULL INSTRUCTION - Students receive six hours of behind-the-wheel instruction with twelve hours of observation.  The classroom portion includes two/three in-person sessions with asynchronous lessons completed on Canvas.          2025 Cash Discounted Price:  $435
 
  • PARENT-ASSISTED INSTRUCTION  Safe Driver Driver's Education will teach an evaluation of skills lesson. Parent directs/teaches 4 of 6 lessons.  Safe Driver Driver's Education teaches the final lesson. The twelve-hour observation requirement is the responsibility of the parent/guardian. The classroom portion includes two/three in-person sessions with asynchronous lessons completed on Canvas.  Students who sign up for this package will enroll in the same class session as students who are enrolled in the Full Instruction package.   • HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT REFRESHER LESSON  This package is for students who have completed driver's education and need a refresher lesson before driving independently.  Driving skills will be reviewed in the following settings:
  • City, Suburban, Downtown, Parking, Highway/interstate
  • Home pick-up and drop-off are available.  Before registering, please call/text 319-573-6378 for availability.  The cost for a 75-minute lesson will be $100.00

The classroom portion of the course will be conducted in a hybrid/blended format. There will be two-three in-person (face-to-face) meetings on Monday, February 24th, and Monday, April 7th from 6:00-7:30 pm. One other in-person session may be scheduled at Casill Motors. The online portion of the course will be asynchronous where students will complete lessons on Canvas. All class assignments and activities will need to be finished by Friday, May 2nd, 2025. Students will need to schedule six hours of driving with the driving instructors on weeknights after school and on weekends. Students signing up for the parent assist program will need to schedule two hours of driving with Mr. Rolwes. Students on free and reduced lunch can register starting February 1st, 2025
